Created by God

God said, Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the [tame] beasts, and over all of the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth. So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them. —Genesis 1:26–27

God created women, and He said that everything He created was very good. Learn to believe about yourself what God says about you, not what other people have said about you. God created you, and He looked at you and proclaimed, “Very good!” You are one of God’s works of art, and Psalm 139 states all of His works are wonderful. Therefore, you must be wonderful!

God never intended for women to be less than men in anyone’s estimation. Neither are they above men. Both genders should work together for the common good of all. The competitive spirit that exists in our society today between men and women is downright foolish. When women began to realize they would have to fight for their rights, some of them became extreme in their attitudes. It seems that we imperfect human beings always live in the ditch on one side or the other. The key to peace between the sexes is balance.

Lord, plant Your words of life in my soul and help me make them real. I want to live up to Your “very good.” Amen.

P.S. It's amazing how the Almighty God works, His timing is always accurate. The topic of men and women being equated to each other is very popular in the society we live in. In fact, it was a topic of discussion in our training session today. A heated debate if I may say, but needless to say, we made the space comfortable for everyone. And thankfully all the members were Christians, so it was not a fuss at all. This scripture has just laid out the foundation and answered all our questions. Amen to it!
