Personal review of Fifty Shades of Grey...

Image
A first for me too After reading Fifty Shades of Grey. I was astonished and proud at the same time, of myself, for finishing a novel. I have never been able to finish any book that I have ever read. Parts of me felt like I have been living both the lives of each character as I read the book. I had to indulge myself to each personality, making each character come to life with the assistance of my ever so spontaneous imagination.  The book is so detailed, extremely detailed. Emphasis is placed on every movement, from romance, to joy and sorrow - simultaneously. Putting the book down was not easy at all, I had to be very disciplined, luckily my sister made it so easy for me to get each chance to finish the book, as she was so eager to share it with someone else.  Eventually I read it and got to the end. The first book left me longing for Fifty Shades Darker and Freed, especially after reading the reviews of each of the other editions.  On walking on the skins of bot

A praise to house music!

Image
I am a note, A cord, A rythym. I am a sound! I am a song, A melody, Music, I am house music! Hail to house music, For inducing my mind to reach the pinnacle of cloud nine, Setting my soul on fire, With sounds that ever ooze my contention. You have been my lullaby to dreamland, My every thought processed in the name of your sound. How your every beat has captivated my soul, Inducing my body, mind and soul to dread for more of you, You are the epitome of perfection in my eye. Life with you shows endless possibilities, I breathe you, Feel you, Move you...Oh ryhthm devine! I am forever captived!   -ANDISWA MADIKANE Picture credits: http://helenabarrera.com/2011/10/04/house-music-its-a-spiritual-thing

Buyelekhaya Jazz Festival!

Image
An awesome day it was yesterday. As it was our first time attending the Buyelekhaya Jazz Festival held in the Eastern Cape. All souls gathered to witness this joyous day. Being touched by artists like Zahara, Simphiwe Dana, Camagwini, Salif Keita to name a few. While DJ Toolz of Mhlobo Wenene held it down like a house on fire, blessing us with house tracks only he could pull *captivated*. Heads up to KC and Patko for setting the stage on fire, their presence was recieved extremely well by the masses. It was a blast!                                                            The setting was awesome                                               Loved the Raggae group that was performing                                        These are half of the people that were there, it was pact!                                                              Journying to the entrance                                                               The walk continues

Can we relive DEMOCRACY?

World when you promised me life I obeyed, When you said you would give me a chance I believed, When you abducted me I comprehended, When you promised to feed me i was hopeful, You said you would take care of me! I appointed you a leader in confidence, That in your supremacy all concerns would be met, All our questions be answered, Poverty be washed away! I put my faith in you! Crossed a textbox to ensure that in power you were placed, Spent my last penny to ensure I comprehend to the country’s demise, Yet I was left unpaid, unemployed, starving, resorting to other means. Today I am a prostitute, I sleep for money, Today I am a thief, I steal for money, Today I am a beggar, I beg to eat, Today I am a fraudster, I lie for money, Today I am drug dealer, I kill for money! I am all that I have never anticipated - For You dropped me unexpectedly, You left me unattended and never looked back, Oh how I wish to be a better person, Oh
