Another serendipity has to be Johnson's  products. I have become an official Johnson's baby *laughs*. It has worked wonders for my skin. It keeps my skin smooth and soft. I use the day and night face cream for my face, and the body lotion. If you suffer from dry skin, or prefer prooducts that make your skin smooth. Try Johnson's products. You have nothing to loose.

Things that work for me.

I owe Oxy an advert and my followers an advice on what has worked for my face, and could probably be a solution for all those who have had the same encounter as mine. I had terrible acne, itched so bad and at times a sore face was my daily bread. I used almost everything, from various facial products, to sunlight bar soap, raw eggs, honey and the works, but instead my face went from bad to worse. Until I met this old chap, Oxy - face wash and acne cream, which is applied daily. The acne cream is applied in the morning and at night, the instructions are that it should be left for two hours and thereafter rinsed, and one can apply any face cream that is good for their skin. It took some time and persistence. My face is a living testament of its effectiveness. I have a few spots now, even they are fading. I really feel good. Thanks to Oxy. You can get it at any of these shops Pick 'n Pay, Clicks Stores, Spar, Shoprite or Checkers. Try it out. You would be surprised! Serendipity!

Black African Man...

Image
This one is for you... I yearn for a strong greet in your mother tongue Sanibonani (isiZulu); Molo (isiXhosa); Hallo (Afrikaans); Thobela (Sepedi); Dumela(Setswana); Lumela (Sesotho); Abusheni (Xitsonga); Sanibona (siSwati); Avuwani(Tshivenda);Salibonani (isiNdebele). And ooze me by asking how am I in your mother tongue, and not with some old and lame pick up line, which you just carelessly grabbed along the shores of life, but let your true reflection reflect your upbringing, your roots, and your blackness. Black African Man would you please sway a sister with a rich feel that speaks to the soul with no intention to flirt, when you kindly ask to get to know me in your mother tongue and not an “I’d like to get to know you more babe” kind of statement. Rude, arrogant guy I will perceive you as. Here me correctly, there is no issue with a black English speaking man, but seemingly a black man’s mother tongue sounds more legit and appealing. To our Black African Men, aware of

There is Nothing God Can't Handle

by Joyce Meyer - posted January 17, 2013 …With men [it is] impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God. — Mark 10:27 If there are no impossibilities, then we can live in constant victory and nothing can threaten us or make us feel afraid of the future. Everything that is in the will of God will be accomplished in His way and timing. Is life too much for us? Is there anything that we just cannot handle? Not according to God, for He says through the apostle Paul that we can do all things through Christ Who is our Strength. We are ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infused inner strength into us (see Phil. 4:13). Before we let go and let God be our all in all, we usually have to find out the hard way that we cannot do it all on our own. The hard way means we keep trying and failing over and over until we admit total dependence on God. It can be a long and painful journey and some never reach the e

A born Leader! Martin Luther King Jr

What Is Your Life's Blueprint? Six months before he was assassinated, King spoke to a group of students at Barratt Junior High School in Philadelphia on October 26, 1967. I want to ask you a question, and that is: What is your life's blueprint? Whenever a building is constructed, you usually have an architect who draws a blueprint, and that blueprint serves as the pattern, as the guide, and a building is not well erected without a good, solid blueprint. Now each of you is in the process of building the structure of your lives, and the question is whether you have a proper, a solid and a sound blueprint. I want to suggest some of the things that should begin your life's blueprint. Number one in your life's blueprint, should be a deep belief in your own dignity, your worth and your own somebodiness. Don't allow anybody to make you fell that you're nobody. Always feel that you count. Always feel that you have worth, and always feel that your l

God's Delivering Power

by Joyce Meyer - posted January 16, 2013 Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house, and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he got down upon his knees three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as he had done previously. — Daniel 6:10 Notice in today’s scripture that Daniel got on his knees to pray and thank God three times a day. He had a habit of prayer and thanksgiving. When we get on our knees before the Lord, we humble ourselves and say with our actions, “Lord, I reverence and honor You. I am nothing without You. I need You and I humble myself in Your presence.” Daniel was delivered from a den of hungry lions. His enemies threw him into the lions’ den because they were jealous of him, a foreigner who rose to a high position in their country’s government. When they conspired to hurt him, they knew he was a righteous man and they could not accuse him of wrongdoing. So they

Just Give It Time

by Joyce Meyer - posted January 14, 2013 Show me now Your way, that I may know You [progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with You]. —Exodus 33:13 When you spend time with God, it becomes evident. You become calmer, you’re easier to get along with, you are more joyful, and you remain stable in every situation. Spending quality time with God is an investment that yields rich benefits. You begin to understand what He likes and what offends Him. As with any friend, the more time you spend with God, the more like Him you become. Spending time with God causes you to become more sensitive to the love He wants to demonstrate to you and to others. Your conscience alerts you when you’re talking to someone in a way that does not please Him. Your heart grieves when He grieves, and you quickly pray, “Oh, God, I’m sorry.” You soon want to apologize to the person you have offended and discover that saying, “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to h

Willpower: The Fair-weather Friend

by Joyce Meyer - posted January 13, 2013 But I say, walk and live [habitually] in the [Holy] Spirit [responsive to and controlled and guided by the Spirit]; then you will certainly not gratify the cravings and desires of the flesh (of human nature without God). —Galatians 5:16 Willpower sure sounds like a great thing. We are led to believe that we have enough of it to fight off every temptation that comes our way. And sometimes it works. But let me tell you a little secret about willpower. Willpower is your best friend when things go well, but it's the first friend to check out when you get weary. I have found that if I really don't want to do something, my mind gives me plenty of reasons why I don't have to. My emotions even join in, saying, "I agree because I don't feel like doing it anyway." Our soul (mind, will, emotions) would love to run our lives, but the Bible says we are to be led by God's Spirit. We ar

I Can't Help It

by Joyce Meyer - posted January 12, 2013 I call heaven and earth to witness this day against you that I have set before you life and death, the blessings and the curses; therefore choose life, that you and your descendants may live. —Deuteronomy 30:19 When God begins to deal with us about wrong behavior, it’s easy enough to say, “I can’t help it,” but it takes real courage and faith to say, “I’m ready to take responsibility and get my life straightened out.” Avoidance, which is not facing issues, is a major problem. Wrong things don’t go away just because we refuse to acknowledge them. We often stuff things. We hide from them, and as long as we do, they have power over us. Issues buried alive never die. For many years, I refused to deal with the sexual abuse in my childhood. My father had abused me, so I left home the week I turned eighteen years old. I thought I was getting away from the problem by leaving, but I didn’t realize I had the prob

Embracing the African in You

Image
Embracing the African in You is a concept I have started. I am on a quest to gather as many writers and photographers as possible that will contribute towards this initiative. To the writers, I would like you to write a piece or a poem in your mother tongue. And from the photographers, I would like an image that portrays an African feel. Feel free to be creative and innovative with any catagory you fit in. The aim is to uphold the spirit of our heritage and to explore writing and photography in all forms. I would like us to take it back to the roots, where it all started, from our mothers bellies. This task is tasked to all and myself too. I will post the poems/ writting/ images on my blog to get some ratings, to make it more pleasurable and fun. The requirements follow: Requirement: A photo of the writer/ photographer at the end of the piece of writing/image Brief details of the writer/ photographer  Motivation (Favourite quote) Lastly, the writers/ photographers vision for Af

Take Authority over the Devil

by Joyce Meyer - posted January 11, 2013 Be well balanced, . . . vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour. — 1 Peter 5:8 Satan’s attacks are fierce in these last days but you don’t need to run from his roar. As a child of God you have the authority to defeat him in the name of Jesus. Satan can attack your mind, will, and emotions. He will attack your body with weariness and all manner of illness. His lies are endless and persistent and he delights in playing on your emotions. But you can learn to discern and aggressively confront every satanic assault, and be victorious over his evil plans. Exercising authority over the enemy is more than verbal commands…your words and actions must go together. Speaking or praying the Word releases faith, but you must also walk in new levels of obedience. So follow God’s plan and put

Making Right Choices Makes Life So Much Better

by Joyce Meyer - posted January 09, 2013 Strive to enter by the narrow door [force yourselves through it], for many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able. — Luke 13:24 Like most of us, you are probably tempted to take all the easy paths, but God’s path is rarely easy. The Bible describes those other paths—the ones that lead to destructions—as “broad” because not a lot of effort is required to remain on them. We are encouraged by God to take the narrow path, the more difficult one, which is also the one that leads to life. We have to make a strong effort to push through the negativity in the world, but if we will do our part, God will always do His. Not everyone is willing to make the effort. They are addicted to ease and simply flow with their feelings. Jesus died for us so we could have a wonderful, abundant life that is filled with peace, joy, power, success, and every good thing. He was willing to go to the cross and pay f

A Sermon Walking

by Joyce Meyer - posted January 08, 2013 Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. —John 5:19 (NKJV) I once read a story in a church newsletter that I want to share with you. In 1949, Time magazine called him “one of the most extraordinary men of modern times.” He won the Nobel Peace Prize. One afternoon, reporters and city officials gathered at a Chicago railroad station to greet him. As passengers disembarked the train, among them was this giant of a man—six-foot-four with a bushy mustache and thick, unruly hair. Cameras flashed. City officials approached him with hands outstretched. The man greeted them politely and then, looking over their heads, asked to be excused for a moment. He quickly walked through the crowd until he reached the side of an elderly woman who was struggling with

When Silence Roars!

Image
From a milestone I heard a voice roar, It was not your ordinary siren noise, Nor was it a loud shout, It was not a sound that moved mountains. But one that moved a soul. It was a sound that roared so still, Yet quite, It was silent yet captivating! It roared so loud, I felt demons trembling. It was silence that roared so loud, I felt faith being revived. How words erupted as though a volcanic eruption, How the cords resembled lava, Whilst the notes swirled in a form of a thunder, Causing a stormy weather in my soul! He sang! Silently yet swiftly. He praised, Wholeheartedly whilst healing! He roared Silently, I heard, I was healed! -ANDISWA MADIKANE P.S. I wrote this piece today, in a few minutes time before posting it. It was inspired by Nqubeko Mbatha's praise and worship song title 'Ithemba Lami', which he performed on Gospel Classics last week Sunday. He has a very down to earth personality, shy on ends but when it comes to music direction

Take Care of Yourself!

by Joyce Meyer - posted January 07, 2013    And Asa did right in the eyes of the Lord, as did David his father [forefather]. . . . Also Maacah his mother he removed from being queen mother, because she had an image made for [the goddess] Asherah. Asa destroyed her image, burning it by the brook Kidron. —1 Kings 15:11, 13 Country singer Wynonna Judd knows what can happen when you don’t think about yourself. At seventeen, she had accepted Christ, but the whirlwind years of fame and fortune had created a deep sense of insecurity for her. She felt like she had to take care of everyone. She worked through two pregnancies so she could ensure that the thirty families of her crew would continue to have an income; she ate when she felt empty inside, and she spent enormous amounts of money on her family and friends. The need to please everyone eventually caught up with her, and in 2004, Wynonna found herself overweight, out of money, guilt-stricken, and close to losing her 525-acr

A great start for 2013 - HOPE!

Image
Trust in the Power of Hope by Joyce Meyer - posted January 03, 2013 Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when the desire is fulfilled, it is a tree of life. — Proverbs 13:12 I define hope as “the happy anticipation of good things.” You can hope for something good to happen to you by learning how to celebrateand enjoy life. Everything in life is a process in motion. Without movement and progression there is no life. As long as you live you are always heading somewhere, and you should enjoy yourself on the way. God created you to be a goal-oriented visionary. Without a vision you become bored and hopeless. But there’s something about hope that makes people lighthearted and happy. Hope is a powerful spiritual force that is activated through your positive attitude. God is positive and He wants positive things to happen to you, but that probably won’t happen unless you have hope and faith. Expect God to bring good out of every circumstance
