Thanksgiving

No success story is worth being told without mentioning those who contributed towards ones achievements. It is without doubt the Lord Jesus Christ is at the top of my list. The Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End. The First, the Last and the One that is still to come. He has been and is the air that I breathe, the source of every joint in my body, my every drop of blood. My everything! Through Him I have been blessed with parents – a family. This one is for my mom and dad. My ever strict parents, there is no one that is different from the other they are both the same, maybe my dad a bit tougher, but my mom’s sharpness has always led us to be busted for every wrong we have done. To my mother: A woman I have become because of your teachings. I am what I am because of the image and standards you portrayed growing up. The way I dress is an incarnation of your personality, I am as simple as you are, elegant and a woman of class. You taught me independence without utt

To my pillars of strength

NtsikaYothando-Usivuyisile...It is remarkable how one name is shared amongst three souls. To my siblings Ntsika, Ntsikayothanda and Usivuyisile. Moments spent with you are a lifetime. Your maturity, jokes and all silly tendencies each of you has portrayed growing up, is a matter worth laughing at. You give us a reason to talk, laugh and cry. You three are our pillars of strength. It gives me joy to have you guys in my life. I love you all for days and if I were to continue writing about you guys, Id have to compile a book. This space is just not enough to describe your presence in my life. Just know that you are the best thing life has ever presented! Mwa

To our brother...

Greetings bro. Havocs is one word that comes to mind when I think of the relationship both you and I had growing up. Every day was a fist punch on each other’s faces just to spite the living daylight out of each other. I laugh when I think about all our drama, as it all was a part of growing up. Your stay at home was on and off, at times you were there and others you weren’t there, but your spirit still lives within us daily. Our conversations are never enough without the mention of your name, and your ever so breathtaking character; that only you could crack all your stunts, and to imitate you resembles your presence and the effect it had on us. Now you live in a distant land, yet close. We keep in contact with you for fear of losing your touch, just to remind ourselves that we have a big brother out there. You went without discovering your full potential in life, and your circumstances have led you to give up on the future. You were vibrant, you were a dreamer, humble, loving,

To my sister!

Thank you note                 To my sister! Dear lovely lady. Older than me lady, Taller than me lady, Wiser than me lady, Stronger than me lady, Smarter than me lady, Beautiful than me lady, Patient than me lady, Confident than me lady, Loving more than me lady, Caring more than me lady,   you are all that I am! Since infancy we always had an intimate truly strong bond. I would kill for you and so would you, but that was only known indirectly, through our actions. Growing up was not easy, we can both attest to that. We faced so many challenges at a tender age, ones that matured us at an early age. Tough challenges ones that required each of us to lose ourselves in order to understand each other. And you always excelled when it came to putting others first than yourself. Which was an adjustment that was too much for me to bear, but you shaped me regardless. You took a fall in all of my mistakes, took full responsibility in all my decisions you made it your mission to moth

Discovery of the blog title

Image
Holistic Serendipity encompasses all parts of a person; the mind, body and soul in a development of events by chance in a beneficial way (Online Dictionary). The title was inspired by my journey, growing up and discovering my talents in various places unexpectedly. With the assistance of my best friend and sister Andisiwe Mthengwane a journalist in the making and a friend ever available, (follow her blog @ www.blackboldvoice.blogspot.com ), who has inspired me and my sister in so many ways. She is undeniably one in a million, a phrase best to describe her is 'A package sent from Heaven', she is our angel Gabriela.  While daunting in the early hours of our vacation in 2011 December she thought of the word 'Serendipity' to best describe the concept of the blog, which to her was inspired by my discovery of writing. Along with Serendipity we established the word Holistic to be a perfect description of what the blog will focus on. There and then we were not certain as

The Chapter

Image
Dear Lord, as I jump the broom on all life’s channels, I pray you fine tune me to be an effective channel to your viewers, I quote, imitate and pray to be an incarnation of King Solomon, Who by humility and faith on being awarded the gift of choice asked for wisdom, Wisdom and Knowledge to govern your people... I too pray to walk next to such foot prints, and do seek and pray that You be my strength and engine to steer in all directions of life guided by your map, I pray for wisdom, I pray for knowledge and pray to forever look to you, For I am only an instrument Lord ready to be used by you. The chapter... I pray that you author it, nurture it, strengthen it for your word will Limb it, I am humbled to be gifted Lord, for I know that edification of your people will stem from gift. I pray that through edges, curves, storms and thunders that we will be protected by you, This is ours, a chapter...the beginning! As we open it, let your words be scribble
