You are what you eat!

This line was often used by a friend of mine in high school, to ridicule chubby people. It did not have that much effect on me at that time, as I took it as a joke. But as years went by, I started to realise that it is indeed true that a person is what they eat.

When it comes to eating the right types of food, one can't help but burry their heads under a pillow. The thought of eating unsavoury food, as it often appears to most people is just unbearable. Luckily for me, food has not been that big of a problem; I eat anything as long as it does not have a bad effect on my body. I too have a sweet tooth, I crave for chocolates and cakes most of the times, infact I make it a point that a week does not pass without me indulging on the sweet stuff, but I make it a point that I balance it with my eating plan.

With that said, I thought I should share my healthy tips with my followers. One of my endless serendipities is that I am a nurturer of the body, and I choose to consume only the right types of food, because I feel that we all owe it to our bodies. Bearing in mind that I am not much of a cooker, nor do I enjoy kitchen struggle, as I often call the cooking process. I am also not a spender, I believe in spending money wisely. One does not have to buy expensive to eat healthy. Eating healthy is actually cost effective in all ends. Fruit and vegetables are the most affordable foodstuff there is. So you don't have to sweat about your pocket being emptied, but rejoice in saving some money while having a well balanced body to keep you up and running at all times.

Healthy eating does not mean unsavoury consumption of food. It simply means, eating the right kinds of food at the right time, and with the correct measures.

With that said, water has to be a number one priority. Just like a car can't go on without any petrol, your body too can't survive without water. I choose water to be my number one best friend, for without it, my body will lose all force and effect. Watch out for my weekly updates on 'You are what you eat', as I will be sharing my eating plan with you. These are just one of the things that work for me, I am certain they will work for you too. You don't have to completely shove away your chocolates, or that delicious meet recipe. A balanced lifestyle is all your body yearns for. Do not deprive it!
